Review: Island Pleasures by KT Grant

Island Pleasures
Author: KT Grant
Release Date: Jan. 25, 2013
Publisher: Decadent Publishing
1 Night Stand Series
Genre: Erotic Romance, Contemporary, Novella
Format(s): e-book
Book Source Author

About the book:
Carly Kimball, columnist for the popular magazine, Chit-Chat Weekly is going undercover to reveal the truth behind Madame Evangeline and 1Night Stand. She’ll infiltrate the Grand Turk Castillo hotel and resort to find the proof she needs for her article.

But Carly is in for the biggest shock of her life when she comes face to face with a man from her past, Quinn Alfasi, who she shared one passionate night with back in college.

Quinn never thought he’d see Carly again, and now six years later she’s come back into his life with the purpose to take down his employer. He’ll do whatever he has to in order to expose her as a liar and a fraud. But then his friend Woody shows an interest in Carly and has a plans to seduce her whether Quinn likes it or not. Quinn won’t allow Carly to fall for Woody even if he has to team up with his Lothario best friend to claim Carly as his own.

Carly is in danger of not only giving up on her mission, but also falling for the adorable Woody. But then there's Quinn, the one man she has always loved and has never forgotten...

What Im talking about:
Carly Kimball is trying to get ahead at her tabloid newspaper, so she attempts to find some dirt on the 1 Night Stand match-making service. Believing it’s a front for an escort service run by the Castillo brothers, Carly attempts to infiltrate one of their hotels by pretending to be her twin sister, Cassidy. However, Carly isn’t fooling anyone, especially Woody and Quinn, two friends of the sisters from college.

Island Pleasures is a delightful romp in an exotic locale. I enjoyed the descriptive details of the luxurious hotel, island setting, and delicious men.

Carly was a mixed bag for me. She certainly isn’t cut out for the undercover work. She is only fooling herself, believing that Woody and Quinn are buying her story. She comes across a bit green... especially when she uses her own credit card to secure her stay at the resort! It bothered me at times that she came across so naive; I wanted her to be strong and successful, not down on herself.

Quinn is a confident man, but unsure when it comes to the woman who broke his heart. Determined not to let her fall prey to his best buddy, Quinn’s aggressiveness is bolstered, and he pushes Carly into revealing the truth. I liked Quinn a lot. I enjoyed how Quinn confronted Carly, taking and claiming her. Their mutual passion is steamy. However, their communication skills were lacking, which made for a (purposely) frustrating read at times.

Woody is lots of fun and he wants to share a good time with Carly, especially since Quinn doesn’t seem to be making any moves. However, I didn’t care for they way that Woody picked up Carly, knowing exactly how Quinn felt. I also was annoyed that Carly just went off with Woody without talking to Quinn first, seeing as they have a history. With that said, the results are pretty steamy. I was a bit unsure about the menage because it wasn’t something that Carly mentioned she was open to and/or desired before she was put into the situation of having to accept or walk away.

With that aside, I did enjoy how it the story ended. I liked who Carly ended up with, and without spoiling the the story, I will say that the emotional journey of Carly and her guy was well played. Neither person was willing to "give up" for the other, and each had to find his/her own way. The path/s they took made their relationship more believable and touching. Now... if only our poor guy left out can find a match!

About Sharp Bite of Pleasure

Alexa Dangelis, the daughter of the vampire king of the vampire capitol of Vila Pluvia and the East Coast, has returned home after eight years to attend her father’s funeral. The public believes King Christophe committed suicide, but Alexa thinks he was murdered, possibly by her power hungry half-brother Bradley. She’ll make Bradley pay for his crime before he stops her from becoming the new queen.

Werewolf, Penny Seiler and Alexa were once secret lovers before Alexa left her to marry the West Coast vampire king. Penny has never gotten over Alexa’s betrayal and now she lives in fear that Alexa will try and claim her again. When she and Alexa meet again, the sparks between them flares and Penny slowly succumbs to Alexa’s seduction.

And now for the exclusive excerpt...

The first time Penny and Alexa see each other again after eight years apart…

The floral air brushed over her face, giving her the calming effect she required. She needed some sort of solace after her near breakdown in the bathroom. At least no one had witnessed her embarrassing reaction…well, maybe one had. She didn’t know what excuse she would give Lissa for running from the room like the devil was on her back.

Lissa…Alexa… Her mind was still a jumbled mess and she needed to clear it before she returned inside and pretended like everything was fine. Unfortunately, her date and most likely her brothers would know something was off. They were tuned in to her moods too well. She hated being an open book for them. It disturbed her, just as it had when Alexa walked down those stairs…

Penny shook her head, trying to erase the woman from her mind. She studied the half moon, edgy with the urge to shift and run. For now she would have to wait. Transforming into a snarling and furry beast at a state function like this would be considered gauche.

Giggling at the idea of trotting into the ballroom in her wolf form and scampering around the well-dressed government officials, she walked deeper into the grassy labyrinth.

A few minutes later she reached the center. A small water fountain stood in the corner and a gazebo in the middle with a bench, vacant for her to sit and view the starry sky. For once the sky was clear, unlike the past few months when passing storms had popped up unpredictably.

She sat and listened to the soft breeze flowing through the leaves. Music from the palace trickled over to her. She began to meditate, trying to find a balance taught to her by her therapist years ago.
She was close to reaching equilibrium when she heard a slight crackling on the dirt path behind her. She stiffened and rose, facing the one who would try to claim her soul again.

“Hello, Alexa. Why am I not surprised you’d find me?” She didn’t wait to be addressed. Her voice sounded strong and unyielding, at least to her ears.

“The moment I entered the ballroom, I knew you were there. Your unique scent is easy to recognize.” Alexa emerged from the shadows. “How many years has it been since we last saw one another?” She continued walking toward her and climbed up into the gazebo.

Penny expected Alexa to overpower her. Surprisingly, she kept her distance. Penny didn’t back away as she wanted to and soaked in the vision of this immortal woman who had come close to destroying her with her treachery.

“Eight years to be exact. You look well,” she responded politely. No matter what hardship a vampire went through, they always appeared unmarked by whatever affliction might fall upon them.

“So much time has passed.” Alexa took another step. “You look…distressed. Did my appearance here tonight unsettle you?”

Penny’s laugh was empty. “Stop playing games. You know full well it would ‘unsettle’ me.” She shrugged, feigning boredom. “It’s a knee-jerk reaction. You make quite an impression wherever you go.”

“From the aroma of your sweat and your hesitance, I can tell I made quite the impression on you. You’re not immune to me as you want me to believe.”

Penny backed away and cursed in her head. Humor crossed Alexa’s face and she moved forward.

“So, it’s going to be a cat and mouse game between us?” she asked, placing a hand on her hip. Penny waited for Alexa to charge after her, to grab her and hold her in a passionate embrace like she used to.

“Are you’re remembering all the times we chased each other in the woods and then made love for hours?” Alexa asked, suddenly standing too near.

She did her best not to react when Alexa brushed a finger over her cheek.

“Your touch doesn’t affect me anymore.” Penny stepped back and crossed her arms to hide their trembling. “Actually, I’m thinking how much of a pushy bitch you were.”

Alexa laughed and tapped her mouth with a manicured nail. “I missed you more than you can know.”

Penny laughed hollowly. “Oh please. I’m no longer some dumb, immature kid who ended up fucking a spoiled daddy’s girl.”

Alexa was quiet beside her, although Penny could feel the hum of anger coming from her.

“Alexa, I--”

“No. Don’t apologize,” Alexa moved off to the side and away.

Penny felt like she had lost something. Why? It didn’t make any sense. She was used to that yawning emptiness ever since Alexa had left. She’d almost died after Alexa had been with her one final time with the intent to say goodbye due to her impending marriage. Memories of that night she’d admitted her love made her eyes burn. Shame spread through her over the way she had reacted to Alexa’s rejection in the days following.

“You’re right, I was spoiled. With a snap of my fingers I had whatever I wanted, or my father would acquire it for me.” Sadness filtered into Alexa’s voice.

Sympathy for Alexa clogged Penny’s throat. She jabbed her nails in her palms to stop from reaching for her. Her arms ached with the need to hold Alexa and touch her, but it was more like a phantom pain. She cleared her throat, trying her best to remain civil and not run away or do something stupid like grab Alexa and kiss her.

“I’m sorry about King Christophe. His death…suicide was a horrible loss.”

“He didn’t kill himself!”

She had never heard such an emotional outburst from Alexa before, even when they were intimate with one another. Alexa stepped toward her again. She retreated and landed up against the wooden railing of the gazebo. “The newspapers announced his death after they were sent an official statement. There’s been nonstop talk, rumors…discussions on television and on the blogs.”

“Stupid modern technology,” Alexa muttered, sliding in closer.

Riddled with tension, Penny dug her nails in the railing, observing Alexa carefully. “Don’t tell me you’re surprised by gossip about your family in the media. It’s been like that for years.” She counted herself lucky the gossip rags had never got wind of their relationship.

The only noticeable reaction from Alexa was the small strain lines around her mouth. They vanished as soon as they materialized and she was back to being cold and aloof. Penny snorted. How did I ever fall for this woman in the first place and allow her complete access to my body?

Alexa’s smile made Penny’s stomach contract.

“Now you’re thinking about the times we made love,” Alexa said in an assured voice.

Penny bolted to the center of the gazebo as Alexa slowly stalked her. She’s still upset about her father. Must be the reason she changed the conversation at the drop of a hat. “Your intuition is not what it used to be. I must have been crazy to have a fling with you in the first place.”

Her statement came out harsher than she’d intended and it hit home. Alexa’s cheek twitched and she eyed Penny in stony silence, licking her lips.

Penny’s inner thighs quivered. Shit. Alexa would pick up on it.

“For all your cutting, juvenile remarks, and acting like you’re not attracted to me, your scent tells me the opposite.”

She crossed her arms and widened her stance. “Childish?” She purposely ignored the mention of her arousal. Damn the vamp and her keen sense of smell!

“Yes, you’re acting like a bad-tempered child.” Alexa crossed her arms to mimic her.

Penny longed to stamp her foot in annoyance but didn’t. “You’re such a wise-ass. Some things never change.”

“I agree with you there. We’ve come full circle. Do you remember the first time I caught you? I do. From the moment I saw you at the street fair in Three Points, I wanted you and nothing was going to stop me from taking you.”

Penny remembered all too well. She’d been so scared when the vampire king’s daughter approached her on the street and invited her to spend the night with her at one of the most expensive hotels in Vila Pluvia. She’d politely refused and ran away, searching for her brothers for protection. But Alexa had caught up with her and pushed her into a side alley against a wall and gave her a kiss, her first from a woman. When Alexa got down on her knees and gave her an orgasm with her talented mouth, regardless of being in public, Penny changed her mind and welcomed anything Alexa wanted to do to her. She ended up spending the night and early morning hours rolling around on silk sheets with the seductive, aggressive vamp. Over the course of the next two years, she and Alexa had been together every chance they could get. The majority of their time spent together was them biting and kissing…sucking on one another…

She blinked, coming out of her recollection. Alexa stood less than a foot away. Penny licked her lips this time. Alexa’s mouth fell open and the edge of her fangs peeked out.

Penny’s knees locked together.

Holiday Themed Books

Wow! I cannot believe that it is almost the end of 2012! Since you are reading this post, we all know that the world did not end on Friday *phew*! So I guess I'd better finish my Christmas shopping now that I know there will be a Christmas this year!

With the holidays upon us, I've noticed a large selection of holiday-themed books in both print and electronic copy. I've read a few over the years, both multi-author anthologies and single-author books, but all of them novella-length stories. I don't read a lot of them, but I have enjoyed a handful. My two favorites are The Christmas Fantasy by KT Grant and An Enchanted Season Anthology by Nalini Singh, Erin McCarthy, Maggie Shayne and Jean Johnson. Each of these stories are wonderful, feel-good romances!

Holiday-themed romances, specifically Christmas ones, tend to be sweet and happy, which are welcomed, especially during what can be a very stressful time of year. But I have to admit, I really don't care to read a holiday-themed story when it's not near the actual holiday. Is that common? Or am I weird? (Wait, don't answer that!) It's okay if a holiday is celebrated within a story - especially if it's a full-length novel that spans a bit of the year, but if the book is specific to the holiday, I just don't seem to want to read it during other times of the year.

What about you? Do you enjoy holiday-themed books? Have you read ones that center around a holiday other than Christmas? What are some of your favorite holiday-themed stories?

Merry Christmas to those that celebrate it!
Happy New Year to all!

Quickie Review: Hot Buzz

*NOTE: THIS REVIEW HAS BEEN EDITED on Sept. 16, 2012. This story was originally reviewed under the title "Good Vibrations" and was published on April 24, 2012 as part of the Edge Series by Decadent Publishing. I have updated the links and book information, but the review remains the original review (title of book only change).

Hot Buzz
Author: KT Grant
Release Date: Sept. 15, 2012
Publisher: Self-Published
Genre: Erotic Romance, Lesbian, Novella
Format(s): e-book
Book Source: Author

About the book:
Jerri can’t sleep at night. Every night she hears Krysta pleasure herself with her vibrator in her bedroom. Jerri wants to be the one to help Krysta find satisfaction and much more.
Then one night Jerri’s jealousy gets the best of her and she confronts Krysta. She’ll prove to her that something like a vibrator can’t give her satisfaction, and only a flesh and blood woman like herself can.

What Im talking about:
This is my second Edge story, and once again the short format delivers. For those not familiar, Decadent Publishing has a hot little series, The Edge, of unrelated (or in groups of related) short erotic stories. They are vignettes - views into a romance, but not the whole picture. The stories are not character or plot-driven, but rather snapshots of a few sexy moments.
Hot Buzz is the story of lonely Jerri who has pined for her roommate Krysta for 5 years. Fearful of becoming another notch on Krysta's bedpost, Jerri keeps her feelings hidden. That is until one night while out at a club and both women engage in some buzzed flirtation with other people. For some reason it is this night that the true colors show. They hungrily take one another in a night of passion and vibrators.
Hot Buzz gives us just enough insight into the longing Jerri has experienced over the years -- enough to give the reader reason to care and cheer for the couple. Jerri and Krysta are hot in bed, but getting there was a little annoying. The jealous almost "cat-fighting" isn’t my cup of tea, but it brought the two together for an erotic coupling - and that was most certainly enjoyable. And in the end, the reader is left with the notion that everything will work out nicely for these two. I like my happy endings! All-in-all Hot Buzz is an enjoyable, erotic read.

My Rating:
Liked it, but I had some issues - recommend (B)

Review: Sleeping with the Frenemy

Sleeping with the Frenemy
Author: KT Grant
Release Date: May 2, 2011
Publisher: Ravenous Romance
Genre: GLBT/lesbian, Suspense Romance
Format(s): e-book
Book Source: Author

About the book:
Deborah Murnay has a life most women would die for. She has a loving wife of four years who gives her anything she wants. But, Deborah hides a dark secret. Her wife Genevieve not only enjoys kinky, dangerous sex, but is insanely jealous and possessive. When a violent argument between the two leaves Deborah bruised and battered, she has no other choice but to run away.
Through some intricate planning on Deborah’s part, she’s able to trick Genevieve into thinking she’s dead. Deborah becomes Sharon Wade and ends up hundreds of miles away in the small town of Woodberry Creek where she can start over again, even though she lives in fear that Genevieve will find her and kill her.
When grade school teacher Bridgette Woodberry notices her new neighbor, she quickly figures out Woodberry Creek’s new resident is hiding something. Deborah knows she can’t have a future with Bridgette, but finds herself attractive to the kindhearted redhead whose kisses and warm embrace makes her feel protected.
As Deborah turns to Bridgette to help heal her scars, Genevieve is waiting for the right moment to take back her wife and make her pay for deceiving her.

What Im talking about:
Sleeping with the Frenemy is a lesbian retelling of the 1991 film, Sleeping with the Enemy, starring Julia Roberts. For those unfamiliar with the story, it involves a wife’s escape from an abusive husband by faking her own death. In Ms. Grant’s version, we witness the extremely HOT yet harmful relationship between Deborah and Genevieve. The women have been married for 5 years, and at first it appears they have a wonderful relationship and ideal life. Yet as the story progresses, we witness the extent to which Gen abuses and controls Deborah. Similar to the movie, Deborah escapes the marriage by faking her death and moving to a small town far away. However, soon enough Gen finds out that Deborah has betrayed her and plots her revenge.
The story reads well and moves at a good pace. Even though I saw the movie (many years ago), I still experienced a suspenseful thrill. Although there weren’t any major surprises, Ms. Grant changed enough of the details that kept the book fresh, and she makes it her own story. Even though I knew everything would work out, I was still very much on edge worried about Gen showing up!!
I enjoyed the many sides of Gen. It would have been easy to create a character that was strictly evil, but Ms. Grant gives her antagonist a human side. Gen loves Deborah, she just has a warped sense of right and wrong (and what constitutes a healthy argument). The couple share some of the most erotic scenes I have ever read. Their passion is intense, and Deborah willing enjoys their moments together, until it goes too far. Warning - the sexual content of this story is smutterific!
Once Deborah escapes, she finds herself in a town where everyone is open and kind. She is a broken woman, but finds herself attracted to and opening up to neighbor, Bridgette. It’s an enjoyable contrast to see Deborah learning to love and trust again.
Overall, Sleeping with the Frenemy is a good read, and although I’m not a huge contemporary romance fan, I found the book enjoyable. The story is familiar but with enough changes to make it fresh and remain suspenseful.

Liked it - recommend (B+)

Review: A Bid For Love

A Bid For Love
Author: KT Grant
Release Date: Feb. 12, 2012
Publisher: Decadent
1 Night Stand Story
Genre: Contemporary Romance, m/m, Novella
Format(s): e-book
Book Source: Publisher

About the book:
Anthony Conlin is a forty-one year old workaholic in love with his twenty-nine year old neighbor, Reece Whitmore, who looks like he belongs on the cover of GQ magazine. Anthony longs for Reece to the point of obsession, but doesn’t think he stands a chance because of their difference in age, his graying hair and a less than rock hard physique.
When Anthony’s friend, Jagger Castillo urges Anthony to try the matching services of One Night Stand, Anthony still refuses because of his crush on Reece. But Jagger, along with the help of Madame Evangeline, the owner of the 1NS has something up their sleeves to make certain Anthony and Reece finally get together.
A charity auction sets the stage and rolls into motion a night Anthony and Reece will never forget.

What Im talking about:
Tony and Reese have been neighbors for a few years, both men are completely hung up on and attracted to the other. However, neither is willing to make the first move, that is until Reese decides he will take a chance. But his flirting doesn’t get far, and poor Tony is completely tongue-tied.  When a mutual acquaintance offers Reese a way into Tony’s bed (and hopefully his heart), Reese jumps at the chance for love.
This was my first 1 Night Stand (1NS) novella and the second novella I’ve read by KT Grant. I am impressed with her ability to create intimate romances in such a short space. The characters are real enough, relatable on some level, and don't require lots of background and superfluous details to enjoy the story. We know these two men long for each other, and Ms. Grant is able to quickly build the need and frustration.
For those wondering, each 1NS story is independent, using a somewhat mysterious character, Madame Evangeline, as a match maker with a 100% track record in finding the perfect long-term mate. In this book it's a suitable vehicle used to get the men together in a fairly short span.
I adored Tony and Reece. They both were a bit shy, but once together, passion explodes. And wow--there are some completely sexy scenes involving a hot tub! At times I thought that Tony was too hung up on the age difference and the fact he was tricked into the date. I felt like he was determined to see the relationship fail before giving it a chance. I also question the need for such an elaborate set up to bring them together, however it added tension and fun to the novella, and in the end--it all worked.
A Bid For Love is a delightful, sexy romance. I enjoyed the overall story and recommend it for a quick, entertaining read.

Review: The Christmas Fantasy

The Christmas Fantasy
Author: KT Grant
Release Date: Dec. 11, 2011
Publisher: Decadent Publishing
Genre: Contemporary Romance, novella
Format(s): e-book
Book Source: Author

About the book:
On a mission to lose her virginity before her thirtieth birthday on Christmas Day, Mandy Lockeheart plans to seduce the only man she’s ever loved; her brother’s best friend, firefighter Jackson Montgomery. With the sexy new body she’s worked hard to earn, she’s certain she can convince him to fulfill her fantasies…
When Mandy comes to him with her sexy proposal, Jackson can’t refuse her adorable seduction. Unfortunately, Mandy’s brother doesn’t want anyone playing around with his baby sister. Jackson must choose between respecting his friend wishes and making love to his perfect Christmas present.
Between Mandy’s occasionally poor body image and Jackson’s honor, the lovers must fight to realize their Christmas Fantasy.

What Im talking about:
Just days before her thirtieth birthday, Mandy, together with her BFF Jessica, head to her brother’s annual party to try and get some action. Both women have worked hard over the past six years to slim down and get healthy. They are taking their “new” bodies and attitudes in hopes of getting laid. Mandy seems to have a head on her shoulders and knows she wants the one man she’s lusted after for years: her brother’s best friend, Jackson. On the other hand, Jessica wants Mandy’s brother, who has a semi-serious (albeit skanky) girlfriend and won’t listen to Mandy when she tells Jessica to look elsewhere.
Ms. Grant does an amazing job capturing the sights and sounds of a 20-something party scene. I swear, I felt that I was back in college just reading this short story. The atmosphere of the party was spot on, although I'd gotten over that by 30, I know many others who haven’t.
Mandy seemed more like an early twenty-something girl, but if she spent her teens and twenties hiding because of her weight, her insecurities and somewhat naive attitude towards Jackson make sense. I also felt that the interactions between Jessica and Mandy were spot on given their backgrounds: still fearful, supportive yet critical and/or competitive. But in the end, they are there for each other.
Jackson and Mandy's first kiss was HOT! It was sweet and perfect: just like a first kiss should be. Characters like Jackson remind me of why I'm a hopeless romantic and give me hope that there are real men out there that are this awesome!
The Christmas Fantasy is the perfect holiday treat to lift your spirits and enjoy a little love.  What a feel good, wonderful little tale. Loved it!!

Loved it - enthusiastically recommend (A)

Review: The Prince's Groom

The Prince’s Groom
Author: KT Grant
Release Date: November 12, 2010
Publisher: Ravenous Romance
Book #2 of a Pirate-Themed Series
ISBN #: 9781607773702
Genre: M/M Romance, Pirates
Format(s):  e-book
From the author’s website:
Mr. Martin, the former first mate of an infamous pirate captain is mourning the loss of his young lover. He and Thomas de Fleurre, an exiled prince turned gentleman landowner, had a passionate affair on a tropical island paradise for a very short time. Thomas decides to end their relationship since Martin is a wanted man on the run for a twenty-year-old crime he didn’t commit.
Thomas longs for the frank speaking Martin, who not only ravaged his body, but his heart and soul. He has moved on, finding happiness in the arms of another man, but can’t stop thinking about those hot steamy nights where Martin made his every fantasy become a reality.
Martin’s past comes back to haunt him as he arrives on Thomas’s doorstep to finish what they started. And then Martin puts his life on the line to save Thomas from an unstable woman who is obsessed with claiming Thomas as her own.
With a dangerous highwayman also terrorizing the land who has close ties to Martin, Thomas becomes a target in a deadly game of cat and mouse. It’s up to Martin to save Thomas and hope they can sail away on their tide of passion, where he will end up being the Prince’s groom.
What I’m talking about:
It’s been a while since I’ve enjoyed an M/M romance and so I jumped to purchase KT Grant’s (aka @katiebabs on Twitter) debut M/M story.  The book is the second in her pirate-themed series, following The Princess’s Bride.  I did not read the first book and I’m sorry that I didn’t prior to reading The Prince’s Groom.
The story begins with the wedding of Thomas’s sister, Daisy, to former pirate, Chelsey. We discover that Thomas and Martin are in the midst of an incredibly hot fling, but Thomas feels obligated to go back home and perform the duties his status as a gentleman landowner holds. He longs for Martin to come with him, but because he is an outlaw, it just won’t work.
Fast forward one year: Thomas has upheld his duties, and although he has another lover, he is lonely and misses Martin.  Meanwhile, Ramona, the youngest daughter of the local sherriff, Viscount Alastair Veiga, has set her deranged sights on Thomas. She craves love along with power and prestige and thinks that Thomas loves her and will marry her.
Overall, the story is exciting, well-thought-out and sexy. I adore Martin and Thomas. Their love for one another is almost innocent and so touching. Their sex is passionate and hot! Thomas’s new lover, William, is also a well-developed side character. His ardor for his boss and friend feels sincere and his heartache true.
Ramona is a bitch and completely unstable. Her treatment of her dear, meek older sister, Julia, is outrageous and perfectly evil. She is a character you long to hate, and Ramona makes it easy to do so.
Although Ms. Grant did a fabulous job providing backstory from the first book, I felt I was missing out by not reading it first. It seems that Martin and Thomas’s beginnings were in The Princess’s Bride, and I would have appreciated reading about their first meeting, first kiss, first encounter.
I enjoyed reading The Prince’s Groom, and plan to go back and pick up The Princess’s Bride. The story is delightful and the romance hot. For those that are on the fence about an M/M story, this is a gay romance and the sex scenes are deliciously descriptive!
